However, these methods are now described due to the hostility they generate between employees and their hierarchy, even if in crisis situations they prove to be effective.

Persuasive Manage Style

A persuasive manager adopts an attitude similar to the executive manager, but differs on the organization and the relationship itself. Indeed, freedom of expression that does not exist in the directive management style is indeed present in the persuasive management style.

No vision is imposed on employees. Rather, there is leadership that encourages employees to express their opinions. Thus, some cohesion can be seen in the various groups that are formed. Team spirit can also develop and flourish, if each member of the company becomes aware that he brings his stone to the building by being relatively indispensable. Results are not expected as abruptly as in the directive management style.

The participatory management style

Within a team, in company, participation is generally well seen. However, this must be appropriate for the majority of employees employed. We’re talking about collaborators here . Employees of the company actually experiment with a variant of style persuasive management.

A manager who adheres to participatory management will resolutely focus his action and attitude on the relationship. Employees participate by assisting in decision making. Employees also enjoy freedom of execution and expression of their creativity.

Participatory management strongly involves both the manager and his employees, who cannot be simple executors. The manager is a leader who motivates and creates a certain emulation in participatory. In terms of communication, the relationship is horizontal rather than vertical: advice is given and special attention is paid to relational. The results remain important but imperceptible.

The participatory management style may appeal, but it is still necessary for everyone to find their own account in this new way of think about the company .

Delegative management style

Finally, the last management style that will be presented to you is the delegated management style. The manager is much less involved with employees than in the previously presented styles.

Managers who advocate this type of management are fairly focused on the results provided by the employees. It is in a way a summary of the three other management styles , with their strengths and weaknesses.

Employees are involved in decision-making, but the manager remains the master. It is both a horizontal and vertical communication system that is implemented in the company. Initiation is strongly encouraged as well as some form of freedom . That said, the objectives of each employee have passed to the magnifying glass and their performance regularly evaluated. The manager or leader is then both an authoritarian boss and a leader depending on the circumstances.
