São Paulo — Since the end of 2018, smartphone manufacturers present products with screens. The first was Flexplai, manufactured by a previously little-known company in the United States. The next day, the Samsung announced a foldable to call his own. The Galaxy Fold was presented in detail in San Francisco last week. Last Sunday, it was Huawei‘s turn to announce a larger and more expensive foldable model than Samsung’s. A LG said he would not let go of a foldable screen for now and kept word. The company did something different and brought the LG V50 ThinQ with two screens.
Modular, the smartphone can be used like any other, with a single screen. Anyone can use the screen module, which adapts to the product using pins magnetic. The advantage of having two screens on the handset would be to use the bottom one as a control zone for a game, as is the case on the Nintendo 3DS laptop; to use two or more apps at the same time on the mobile phone; to see more than one participant simultaneously on a video call; or even to see comments and live video on platforms like YouTube.

The main screen of the LG V50 ThinQ is 6.4 inches, with Quad HD resolution (3120 x 1440 pixels/538ppi) and an image format of 19. 5:9 (for comparison, the common standard for TVs is 16:9).

The LG V50 is the first smartphone to support 5G technology launched by LG. The product will arrive on the market in a year when operators from the European Union, where it was announced, will already begin to offer services via the new mobile network with high speed and low latency. In Brazil, the allocation of frequencies for 5G is still in the definition phase.
