Once graduated, the student is qualified and able to practise his profession by starting a first job. This initial training is relatively short.


An apprenticeship is a general training that is given to young people wishing to train both in theory and in practice. These two competencies, regardless of the discipline chosen, are necessary in order to obtain the CAP diploma (certificate of professional fitness).

The young person is then ready to apply for his first job. If his apprenticeship has been conclusive on the professional practical part, he may be required to work directly for the company that took him into apprenticeship, depending on the needs.

Higher education

We talk higher education when initial training is done at large school or university. Studies in the public or private sector are offered to students, who opt for varied and complete courses.

The choice can be made on a license, and then direct to the master. Shorter courses are also offered, such as the Higher Technician’s Certificate (BTS) or the University Diploma of Technology (DUT).
